Parallel Conductors Calculator
// SIZE PARALLEL COPPER OR ALUMINUM CONDUCTOR SETS FOR FEEDERS AND SERVICES, THEN EXPORT ACCEPTABLE OPTIONS AS CSV //
Total feeder or service load in amps before splitting into parallel sets.
Searches from 2 sets up to this limit and exports every passing option to CSV.

This table is intended for planning. Parallel installations also require equal conductor length, identical insulation characteristics, matching terminations, and compliance with the adopted code.
- Parallel conductors generally start at 1/0 AWG and larger. Smaller branch-circuit conductors are usually not paralleled.
- Each set should be electrically equivalent: same length, material, insulation type, and termination conditions.
- If raceways have more than three current-carrying conductors, apply bundling derating to each conductor in each raceway.
- Use the terminal temperature limitation that actually governs the equipment connection, not just the conductor insulation label.
- Ambient adjustment is conservative here and should be confirmed against the code table used for the jobsite conditions.
- After choosing a parallel arrangement, verify voltage drop, conduit fill, pull tension, and lug listing separately.
- Large feeders where one conductor size becomes difficult to terminate or install.
- Service conductors and distribution feeders that need capacity beyond a single economical conductor.
- Projects that need a quick CSV schedule of acceptable parallel options for estimating or layout review.
